Sickle Cell

Global Vision For Women & Children (GVWC), through its subsidiary St. Ruth Children’s Research Hospital, operates a dedicated sickle cell clinic that provides comprehensive care for children living with sickle cell disease, including routine check-ups, laboratory monitoring, pain and crisis management, and caregiver education.

The clinic ensures continuity of care through regular follow-up visits, access to essential medications, and early intervention to reduce complications and hospitalizations.
In addition, GVWC conducts large-scale sickle cell outreaches in underserved communities, offering free screening, diagnosis, counseling, and immediate referral for children identified with SCD.
Through these clinic-based and community outreach programs, GVWC is improving survival, reducing suffering, and restoring hope for thousands of children and families affected by sickle cell disease.

Cervical Cancer Education and Prevention

Global Vision For Women & Children (GVWC) provides cervical cancer screening services to women through community-based clinics and outreach programs, enabling early detection and timely referral for treatment.
The organization delivers comprehensive education on cervical cancer risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of routine screening, empowering women to take charge of their reproductive health.
GVWC promotes prevention through awareness campaigns on HPV, safe health practices, and linkage to vaccination services where available.
Through these integrated screening, education, and prevention efforts, GVWC is reducing late-stage diagnoses and saving the lives of women in underserved communities.
