Sickle Cell Support & Research Initiative

About Us

Sickle Cell Support & Research Initiative is a flagship initiative of Global Vision for Women and Children, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The GVWC Sickle Cell Support & Research Initiative is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease across Texas through patient support services, health education, community outreach, advocacy, and research-driven programs. We work to reduce health disparities, expand access to quality care, and empower communities with the resources needed to prevent complications and improve long-term outcomes. Our mission is to create a future where every person living with sickle cell disease in the United States receives compassionate support, equitable care, and hope for a healthier life.
